Beth Kelsey, Ed.D., APRN, WHNP-BC, is editor in chief for Women’s Healthcare: A Clinical Journal for NPs and director of publications for the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health with the primary responsibility of leading the writing of position statements. As a women’s health nurse practitioner, she has provided health care at family planning, prenatal and sexually transmitted infection clinics. As an educator, she taught for over 20 years at Ball State University in Indiana, serving as Doctor of Nursing Practice program director and teaching women’s health in the family nurse practitioner program. Kelsey is coeditor of “Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Certification Review Guide.” She is an inducted fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
