Nik Koscielniak, PhD, MPH, is a program officer at PCORI in the division of PCOR Infrastructure and Innovation. He manages a portfolio of research and infrastructure awards related to PCORnet. As part of this role, he managed the PCORnet Data Convening project which included three prongs, one that focused on identifying infrastructure enhancement opportunities in social determinants of health (SDOH) data for the PCORnet infrastructure. In addition, Koscielniak has overseen the recent updates to the PCORnet Common Data Model, which included developing linkage opportunities to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality SDOH database and increasing the capture of individual-level SDOH data.
