Jen Lavoie, BA, was the executive research team patient and family care partner and coinvestigator for the University of Vermont's PCORI-funded study on integrated behavioral health and primary care. She was lead author and developer of the Patient Partner Guide for including community members in primary care quality improvement and the PCORI community engagement resource, Research Fundamentals. She participates frequently as a PCORI merit review patient representative to support patients and research teams in their efforts to submit applications for patient-centered research with a genuine commitment to authentic community engagement. She believes in the power of love and patience.
