As a pharmacist working at the intersection of public health and health policy, Amber Ray, PharmD, PHM, has advanced legislation to promote healthy child development; reduce healthcare costs for low-income seniors; and help healthcare and social service providers communicate, coordinate and track outcomes for their patients. Her policy interests include health equity, maternal health, pediatric mental health and healthcare workforce issues. Ray hails from North Carolina and received her Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Duke University. Following her time at Duke, she received a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Pharmacy. She began her professional career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
