David Reuben, MD, is chief of the Division of Geriatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is a past president of the American Geriatrics Society and former chair of the American Board of Internal Medicine’s Board of Directors. In 2012, he received a CMMI award to develop a model program to provide comprehensive, coordinated care for patients with dementia. In 2018, he was awarded a multisite PCORI- and National Institute on Aging-funded pragmatic trial to compare the effectiveness of health system-based dementia care versus community-based dementia care versus usual care. Reuben was co-chair of the 2020 National Research Summit on Care, Services, and Supports for Persons with Dementia and their Caregivers.
