Chidinma A. Ibe, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of general internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the associate director of community engagement for the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity. She has substantive experience partnering with community health workers, health system leaders and patients to develop and evaluate patient-centered solutions that mitigate the impact of adverse social determinants of health on communities composed of racial or ethnic minorities. Her research agenda synthesizes health equity principles, implementation science frameworks and community-engaged research approaches to optimize the impact of community health worker-led interventions addressing cardiometabolic health disparities.
