Laura Grofer Klinger, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist, a tenured associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and the executive director of the UNC TEACCH Autism Program. She oversees TEACCH’s clinical services, international training program and community-based research program. Her research focuses on promoting positive outcomes for adults with autism, including an efficacy study of a community college-based transition to adulthood program, a comparative effectiveness study of mental health interventions for adults with autism, and a study of physical and mental health conditions associated with aging in autism.
