Karen Sepucha, PhD, leads the Health Decision Sciences Center, a multidisciplinary group whose mission is to improve the quality of significant medical decisions. Her research interests include development and evaluation of patient decision aids, measurement of decision quality, and shared decision making training. She is also heavily involved in implementation of shared decision making and decision aids in primary and specialty care and has overseen delivery of more than 80,000 decision aids across the Mass General Brigham health system. Sepucha has been active in local, national and international efforts to improve decision quality, including the International Patient Decision Aids Standards collaboration.
