Amanda Barbeau, MPH, joined PCORI in 2017 and is a program officer within the Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science division. She oversees and contributes to the development of several broad, targeted and emphasized funding opportunities within the topics of intellectual and developmental disabilities, COVID-19, maternal morbidity and mortality, and communication and dissemination research. In addition, she evaluates proposals for these topic areas and manages a diverse clinical comparative effectiveness research portfolio. Barbeau obtained a Bachelor of Science in neurobiology, physiology, and behavior; a Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience from the University of California, Davis; and a Master of Public Health from Boston University.
